Campus Day 2026: Great interest in the IfKW's degree programs

3 Feb 2026

Communication science and media research – what exactly are they? What does studying at the IfKW involve? And what career opportunities are available after graduation?

Prospective students found answers to these and many other questions last Saturday (January 31) at LMU Campus Day. As every year, the LMU-wide event offered young people the chance to find out all about the various subjects offered at LMU. In addition, LMU service centers were on site to answer all questions about applications, financing, and semesters abroad.

The IfKW booth was bustling with activity throughout the day. In addition to Ana-Nzinga Weiß, M.A., Sophia Rothut, M.A., and Dr. Florian Primig, current student Lea Rothämel was also on hand to answer visitors' questions. In addition, Institute Director Prof. Dr. Constanze Rossmann gave a well-attended lecture in which she presented the IfKW's degree programs in more detail and highlighted the diverse career prospects they offer. The title of the lecture alone illustrated the breadth of the subject: “Fitspiration, Rainbow Washing, and AI Journalism.”

The institute would like to thank all the helpers on site and looks forward to welcoming as many of those interested as possible as students in the near future.
